The large single room was well stocked with coffee and a French press. The soft mattress and scratchy linen were less than ideal. Breakfast was plentiful and served in a lovely room, made up for some areas needing attention. It's a pleasant place for a short visit.

The room was extremely pleasant, huge with a clean bathroom. We thoroughly enjoyed the views here that were pleasant. The hotel was in the central setting to 2 good pubs. It was also near to local shops, pub and library and Rothmans👍

Plenty of food at breakfast like milk and toast. Neat and airy rooms with particularly nice views. Location close enough to bus stop and two pubs.

missingWrote a review on 01 Novcharming buildingcomfortable beddelicious breakfastdaunting access codes
My room was the Regency en-suite, offering a comfortable bed with excellent pillows and a spotlessly clean bathroom. The highlight was the cooked breakfast, prepared by Caroline, who ensured a warm, cute atmosphere. The hotel also features ample parking.
Access codes for the premises could be daunting initially.

missingWrote a review on 30 Octgardenperiod decortired bathroom
The garden provided a fine spot to relax and unwind, alongside the charm of the beautiful period decor throughout the house.
The room could've used a thorough vacuuming, with bits on the floor and cobwebs around. The bathroom appeared a bit tired and lacked heat. I also found difficulty navigating to the hotel due to unclear signage, and my experience was diminished by an uncomfortable mattress that felt overly soft and creaky.

Charming stay in Chelmsford 🌳
Ja, the garden is such a lekker spot to chill. Caroline was really helpful and went out of her way for me. The brekkie was super tasty, just what I needed to kick off my day!
The check-in with all the codes felt a bit daunting at first, but I got through it eventually.

The hotel boasts a charming garden perfect, and it was great to have children's play equipment around. We really enjoyed the informal atmosphere that welcomed our big family of five adult children.
My wife says that the kitchen arrangement was quite confusing.
